This page is still in its preliminary format.  But here's a peek:

Rogue Valley Naturals utilizes Vermicomposting at our Hydroponic growing facility. Vermicomposting is the use of earthworms for recycling organic waste in   the most  efficient, natural, and earth-friendly way.*  We use "Eisenia fetida" (aka Red Wigglers) which are known for being excellent composting worms. These industrious little critters very expediently process and transform organic matter into an extremely valuable bio-fertilizer and bio pest-control agent known as castings.

The liquid extract made from these castings, also known as Worm Tea, is incorporated into the fertilization process at Rogue Valley Naturals.

On a limited basis, we sell the Worm Tea  to our customers who wish to use it on their own plants as a spray for foliar feeding, as well as an effective bio-insecticide. Worm Tea is an extremely nutrient-rich fertilizer and can be applied directly to the soil around the base of your plants.

We would like to take this opportunity to encourage readers to consider Vermicomposting as a means of recycling your own kitchen and yard waste.  There are numerous websites available to educate you on this subject. One of our personal favorites, which is both informative and entertaining is:    redwormcomposting.com

*In keeping to our objective of providing fresh, safe, natural produce, we at Rogue Valley Naturals do not use manure or any livestock products in our Vermicomposting program, in an effort to avoid even the slightest possibility of E. coli or salmonella contamination.
